Who's Who Global NetWork Introduces First Value-Added Telecommunication Service

Who's Who Global NetWork® offers value-added telecommunications specifically designed to serve individuals of accomplishment in the challenging and changing work environment that has accompanied the dawn of the Internet. Electronic mail forwarding was chosen as the Who's Who Global NetWork's first telecommunication offering in order to provide a solution to a recurring problem that individuals have faced on-line: neither on-line services nor ISPs generally offer e-mail forwarding services. By subscribing for e-mail forwarding services, one gets a fully-portable e-mail address that can be updated to forward to the Internet address of one's choice.

Who's Who Global NetWork® will enable members to send and receive voice mail, faxes, e-mail, and computer files to and from any Internet mailbox, as well as providing for message access and management via any web browser from any computer connected to the Internet. The implications are important to anyone whose work takes them away from their local area network (LAN) and/or local calling area for dial-up access, particularly those traveling internationally.

The applications incorporated into Who's Who Global NetWork® offerings are, and will continue to be, cross platform applications that will work on any operating system the Member uses, including Microsoft Windows®, UNIX® workstations, Apple Macintosh® and others. The focus of the Who's Who Global NetWork® enhanced services is on behind-the-scenes (invisible/transparent to the user) functions such as e-mail forwarding and intuitive, user-friendly computer interfaces for multimedia messaging and store-and-forward data functions, as well as messaging systems that offer message management through touch-tone telephony.

Who's Who Global NetWork® Membership Offering

As distinctive as the Who's Who Global NetWork® concept is, so is the membership offering, which is by invitation only. Who's Who Online® Members now have a standing invitation to join the global network.

Our vision for the NetWork is to provide enhanced telecommunications services that our members may use in their work to facilitate global collaboration and/or the provision of goods and services. Our hopes and expectations are that the work will span a variety of fields including science, education, the arts, business, ministry, government, etc., but the unifying theme is that we are seeking individuals of accomplishment in their fields who wish access to advance their work, not as a dating service or forum for on-line games.

Individuals who will be invited to join the network include those already listed in reputable "Who's Who" registries (or the equivalent), those of outstanding academic achievement (including those who have earned degrees at the doctoral level), elected national and state/provincial/municipal officials, senior corporate officers, and others who have achieved distinction in their areas of expertise.

While Who's Who Online® Members may now initiate applications.
